How We Work

Remote Engineering, Done the Way You'd Want It

No black boxes. Here's how an engagement runs, what we commit to in writing, and the answers to the questions every team asks before hiring a remote engineer or team.

Ways to Work Together

Pick the Shape That Fits

Every model is founder-led and starts small, so you can judge us on shipped work before committing to more.

  • Fixed-scope project

An MVP, a new feature, or a well-defined rebuild with a clear finish line.

    • Discovery call and written scope
    • Fixed price per milestone
    • Weekly demos against the plan

Starts with a paid scoping sprint

  • Hire the founder

Ongoing product work where you want one senior engineer embedded in your team.

    • Works in your tools and rituals
    • Fixed daily overlap with your team
    • Monthly billing, two weeks’ notice

Starts with a 1–2 week pilot

  • Grow into a team

When one engineer isn’t enough — add full-stack, QA automation, data, or DevOps roles.

    • Founder stays on and leads the team
    • You meet everyone before they start
    • Scale up or down month to month

Start with one engineer, or a team from day one

How We Work

A Process Built for Clarity

Structured, transparent, and designed to keep you informed at every stage.

  1. 01

    Discovery

Deep-dive into your goals, users, and constraints to define a clear scope.

  2. 02

    Planning

System architecture, stack selection, and work broken into milestones.

  3. 03

    Development

Iterative builds with regular demos, code reviews, and CI from day one.

  4. 04

    Testing

Automated tests, manual QA, and performance audits before every release.

  5. 05

    Deployment

Smooth rollout with monitored deployments and zero-downtime pipelines.

  6. 06

    Support

Post-launch monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

The Brew Promise

Six Commitments, In Writing

Most horror stories about hiring outside engineers come down to the same few failures: vanishing teams, hostage code, and silence. These go into every contract, so none of them can happen with us.

  1. 01

You own everything from day one

Code lives in your GitHub, infrastructure in your cloud account. Full IP assignment in the contract. Nothing is ever held hostage.

  2. 02

Real overlap with your working day

A fixed daily window when we are online for calls, Slack, and pairing — agreed before work starts, not "whenever we can".

  3. 03

    Daily updates, weekly demos

A short written update every working day and a live demo of working software every week. You always know where things stand.

  4. 04

    NDA before we talk details

Happy to sign your NDA (or send ours) before the discovery call. Your idea and data stay confidential.

  5. 05

    Start with a short pilot

Begin with a 1–2 week pilot sprint on a real piece of your product. Judge us on shipped work before committing to more.

  6. 06

    No lock-in

Two weeks’ notice ends the engagement — and we hand over code, docs, and credentials cleanly so the next team can pick it up.

FAQ

Straight Answers

The questions every team asks before hiring a remote engineer or team. If yours isn't here, ask us on the call.

Who owns the code and IP?

You do, from the first commit. Work happens in repositories and cloud accounts you own, and the contract assigns all IP to you on payment.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. We are happy to sign your NDA, or send ours, before the discovery call so you can share details freely.

How do our working hours overlap?

We are based in India and keep a fixed daily overlap window with your team for calls, Slack, and pairing. The widget on our home page shows the exact overlap with your timezone.

How do we communicate day to day?

Whatever your team already uses — Slack, Teams, Jira, Linear, GitHub. You get a short written update every working day and a live demo every week.

Who will actually work on my project?

The founder leads every engagement personally and writes code. When a project needs more capacity — QA automation, data, DevOps, or extra full-stack hands — we bring in engineers from our network who have shipped production systems with us before. You meet everyone before they start.

Can we start with just one engineer and grow later?

Yes — that is the most common way teams work with us. You start with the founder on your product, and when you need more capacity we add engineers from our network, one role at a time. The founder stays on and leads them, so nothing is lost as the team grows.

What if an engineer leaves mid-project?

Continuity is built in: documented code, shared repositories, and a founder who stays on the project throughout. If someone has to rotate off, we overlap the handover so you do not lose momentum.

How does pricing and payment work?

Fixed-scope projects are priced per milestone. Dedicated engineers and team extension are billed monthly. Invoices are in USD (or your currency on request) and payable by bank transfer or card.

Can we start small?

Yes — most engagements start with a 1–2 week pilot sprint on a real part of your product. If it is not a fit, you keep the work and walk away.

How do you handle security and access?

Least-privilege access to your systems, credentials kept in your password manager or secrets store, and access revoked the day an engagement ends.
